Rolling Stone have released their top 50 albums of the year, but looking through it I can't help but think that there are a good few names missing from the list. Not many of their picks are on my r4 card!
I know it's Rolling Stone and not exactly Kerrang or Rock Sound or anything, but where is Dance Gavin Dance's 'Downtown Battle Mountain II'?
It should feature on the list just for the fact that it actually made it to being released! That band have had loads of line up changes, and the fact that they all managed to come back to their line up that released 2007's 'Downtown Battle Mountain', the original fantastic album that left fans yearning for a follow up.
Even more remarkable is the fact that singer Jonny Craig managed to clean up his life for long enough to make this album. It didn't last though, and he was jailed in October for narcotic and drug paraphernalia possession and failure to appear charges. The band were forced to cancel their tour and go again on hiatus, so it's a wonder what the future holds for them.
